One?Dimensional Molecular Metal Halide Materials: Structures, Properties, and Applications

نویسندگان

چکیده

Metal halides with low-dimensional molecular structures are the rising stars in horizon of functional materials research. Among them, 1D metal halide hybrids very promising for future optoelectronic applications because their unusual photophysical properties resulting from strong quantum confinement. In past few years, besides lead-based hybrids, research has been extended to lead-free organic and all-inorganic halides. Due near-unity photoluminescence yield excellent structural stability, suitable environmentally friendly devices. Moreover, distortion connectivity mode octahedra arouse formation self-trapped excitons within halides, thus endowing distinct optical properties. Recent investigations have revealed many exciting characteristics this new class materials, such as ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism, cooling, so on. This perspective presents not only structure–property correlations recent but also existing challenges directions.

Metal halide perovskite nanomaterials: synthesis and applications

Nanomaterials refer to those with at least one dimension being at the nanoscale (i.e. <100 nm) such as quantum dots, nanowires, and nanoplatelets. These types of materials normally exhibit optical and electrical properties distinct from their bulk counterparts due to quantum confinement or strong anisotropy. In this perspective, we will focus on a particular material family: metal halide perovs...

Ceramic/metal joining for structures and materials

The paper presents a discussion of the various types of ceramic joining within a conceptual framework based on the fundamentals of wetting, adhesion, and the thermodynamics of interfacial reactions. Examples are given of solid state diffusion bonding of Pt to alumina and brazing of AlN. Most ceramic-metal bonding is conducted at high temperatures, where chemical reaction is to be expected. The ...

Low-Dimensional Organic-Inorganic Halide Perovskite: Structure, Properties, and Applications.

Three-dimensional (3 D) perovskite has attracted a lot of attention owing to its success in photovoltaic (PV) solar cells. However, one of its major crucial issues lies in its stability, which has limited its commercialization. An important property of organic-inorganic perovskite is the possibility of forming a layered material by using long organic cations that do not fit into the octahedral ...
